Basic Practical Applications Of Chinese Astrology Part I
This article will
touch on the basics of Chinese astrology. Due to the huge amount of
information, I have decided to split this article into 3 different parts. By
the end of this article, you will be able to have an idea of how Chinese
astrology works, as well as how you can create more good luck for yourself
by applying the information.
You are probably already familiar with the 12 animals of Chinese astrology.
But do you know that you can use the 12 animals to improve your luck cycle?
By the end of this article, you will learn about the first 4 animals and how
you can use them to create more good luck and avoid bad luck.
The very first animal of Chinese astrology is the Rat. The personalities of
the male Rat and female Rat are significantly different. The male Rat is
always very popular with others, a happy-go-lucky person and very adaptable.
He is very generous towards friends and sometimes seem to care for friends
more than his family.
Being happy-go-lucky, the male Rat tends to take things very easily. Even
when disaster is upon him, he is still able to sleep in peace. Because of
this, the male Rat is a loner ranger most of the time. Both group work and
administrative work are not his forte.
Rats love to impress others with their street smartness, refusing to look at
things in an objective way, but insisting on their own point of view. Many
times, they take sudden controversial actions, which are totally out of
context with the crowd. When Rat people meet with obstacles, they have a
tendency to hide away and keep to themselves. Therefore, they are only
suited to public relations jobs and not suited to jobs which require long
term planning.
The female Rat is more enduring as compared to her male counterpart.
However, once she meets with an obstacle, she will retreat. Like her male
counterpart, she is not very tolerant and tends to be judgmental.
The Rat gets along well with the Dragon, Monkey and Ox. There are a lot of
loving marriages between people born under the signs of Rat and Ox. Most Rat
men marry Ox women and their marriages usually last.
Rat represents Water, and can combine with Dragon and Monkey to form Water.
The other Water combination is Pig, Rat and Ox. The Rat hour spans from 11
pm to 1 am and the Rat month is usually from 8th December to 6th January of
the following year.
If you are born in Summer (6th May to 7th August) can use the Rat to improve
your luck, as Water is your favorable element. You can have Mickey Mouse
posters, toys or Batman figures to increase the Water element in your daily
life. Keeping hamsters as pets is also a way of increasing the Water
element.
The second animal of Chinese astrology is the Ox. Ox people are very
stubborn and resistant to change. Most of them work in the same job or stay
in the same house for their entire life. Even if they were to move house or
change jobs, they will still look for a few blocks away from their current
location.
Their stubbornness and resistant to change is compensated by their
willingness to work very hard. Being a workaholic, they can easily work up
to 18 hours per day without complaining. Ox people are very responsible and
dependable. They can be depended on to complete their assigned tasks, but
they tend to be too-detailed oriented and worry unnecessarily.
Ox people tend to trust others easily and as a result fall victim to con
men. They tend to be over confident and make poor losers. They are also
easily angered and tend to lose their cool easily.
The Ox gets along with the Snake, Rooster and Rat. Ox represents Wet Earth
and can combine with Snake and Rooster to form Metal. The other combination
with Rat and Pig forms Water, as mentioned earlier.
Wet Earth can be used to weaken the effect of Fire and to strengthen Metal.
If you are born in Summer (6th May to 7th August) or Spring (4th February to
5th May), Wet Earth might be favorable to you, as it can weaken Fire and
strengthen Metal. To increase the effect of Wet Earth in your daily life,
eating beef or having figures of oxen will help. The Ox hour is from 1 am to
3 am while the Ox month is usually from 6th January to 3rd February of each
year.
The third sign of Chinese astrology is the Tiger. As you probably know about
the Tiger, this sign represents courage, adventure and sometimes
recklessness. Most Tiger people are very successful at a young age, they are
usually entrepreneurs as they thrive on risk.
Tiger people dislike being told what to do, despite the best of intentions.
Even if they are employees, they won't remain an employee for long. They
love to command and lead. Most of them are very capable leaders as they have
the charisma to lead and inspire.
In order to succeed, Tiger people are very tenacious, they will keep going
until they get what they want. Most of them tend to be quite thick-skinned,
as they are not afraid of rejection. There is a saying that male Tigers love
to be on the go and female Tigers love to argue. Remember, never never
criticize those born under the Tiger sign. They will keep arguing with you
until they win.
People born under the Tiger sign are sentimental. They will keep their
belongings for many many years and refuse to throw anything away because of
sentimental value. Tiger people have very high expectations of themselves
and of others. At times, they may come across as being very arrogant. But
due to their impatience, they tend to have a lot of ups and downs in life.
The Tiger gets along well with the Horse, Dog and Pig. Tiger represents Hot
Wood and can combine with Horse and Dog to form Fire. The other combination
is with Rabbit and Dragon to form Wood. Hot Wood can be used to strengthen
Fire and Earth. Usually, it is favorable to those born in Autumn (8th August
to 7th November) and Winter (8th November to 5th January).
To increase the effect of Hot Wood in your daily life, you can keep cats as
pets, or have photos or paintings of Tigers. The Tiger hour spans from 3 am
to 5 am while the Tiger month spans from 4th February to 5th March each
year.
Before I end, the fourth sign in Chinese astrology is the Rabbit. Most male
Rabbits tend to go with the crowd, seldom having their own opinions. When it
comes to love, they tend to have multiple affairs. As the saying goes, a
rabbit has 9 holes. Male Rabbits tend to love drinking soup.
The female Rabbit tends to be temperamental, but has a very kind heart.
Rabbit people seek security in everything they do, they are afraid of taking
risks. At the same time, they are unable to work under pressure. But they
tend to be overly serious with everything. Rabbit people are very
intelligent, but self-centered. Their strength lies in are diplomacy as they
are able to turn bad enemies into best friends.
The Rabbit gets along well with the Sheep, Pig and Dog. Rabbit represents
Wood and can combine with Sheep and Pig to form Wood. The other combination
with Tiger and Dragon forms Wood, as mentioned earlier. Wood can be used to
weaken Metal and strengthen Fire. Usually, it is favorable to those born in
Autumn (8th August to 7th November) ,as they need Wood to weaken Metal.
To increase the effect of Wood in your daily life, you can keep rabbit as
pets, or wear Playboy clothing. Keeping flowers and plants will also achieve
the same effect. The Rabbit hour spans from 5 am to 7 am of each day, while
the Rabbit month spans from 6th March to 4th April of each year.
