Once in a while, we do
go through tough periods and hard times, especially when our luck cycle is
down. That is usually the time when Murphy's Law becomes true. Anything that
can go wrong goes wrong.
Basing on years of
experience, the best thing to do when your luck is down is to do
nothing. Because when you do nothing, you are less prone to make
mistakes. However, time is wasted when you do nothing. I will
share with you 4 things which you can do when your luck is down,
which can also help you to gain more value out of the time when
you are down.
When your luck cycle is
down, you should always minimize making important decisions or
doing important tasks. Expectations should be lowered as well.
The next thing you need to do is to be prepared for nasty
surprises that might take you off guard. However, in the end,
you might realize that there are certain things which you need
to go through. But most importantly, as long as you have done
everything you can, then you have nothing to regret.
One of the most obvious
things you can do when you luck cycle is down is to sleep. Sleep
as much as you can, so that you recover your energy and can make
decisions with a clearer mind. Of course, when you are sleeping,
nothing can go wrong, as you are not doing anything at all. This
is one of the best things you can do during down luck cycle
periods.
The next activity you can
do is to exercise. When you exercise, you will be able to leave
those stressful incidents behind you. For me personally, I think
jogging would be the best exercise. When you are jogging, you
will start focusing on your breathing and on covering the
distance rather than on things which are bothering you.
Third, to spend quiet time
with yourself. During your quiet moments with yourself, it is
the time to think about that new business strategy or to come up
with any ideas which might help you in your career. This is the
time when you might come up with very good ideas. It is the time
where your creativity should be at its strongest.
Lastly, you can use this
time to read up on things which you have been wanting to learn
about, but did not have the time. Reading doesn't take up a lot
of energy and you don't need to worry about making any fatal
mistakes when you read.
